Rangzen is the Tibetan word for freedom and independence — and the name of the bracelet that became a quiet symbol of the movement.

The first Rangzen bracelets were woven by Tibetan political prisoners inside Tibet, from black and white yak-hair thread. Today, Tibetans and supporters around the world wear the Rangzen bracelet in solidarity with the Tibetan people and their ongoing, nonviolent fight for freedom.
